The Shanghai Cup – Bristol Channel IRC Championships 2027 and the Nimrod Cup 2027 will run on the weekends of 29/30 May 2027 in Portishead and 12/13 June 2027.
Run by Cardiff Bay Yacht Club in partnership with Portishead Cruising Club, the 2027 championships will continue the success of the long history of this event in the Bristol Channel.
The Shanghai Cup is an IRC event, with The Nimrod Cup using local Cardiff Bay Ratings.

The Shanghai Cup – Bristol Channel IRC Championships 2026 and the Nimrod Cup 2026 over the weekends of 9/10 May 2026 in Portishead with the second weekend taking place in Cardiff on 23/24 May 2026.
Ctrl-J has retained the Shanghai Cup for another year, with Silverback V and Hero coming second and third places, and Corsair winning the Nimrod Cup, with Selkie and Gatsby gaining second & third. Also to mention is Hero who took the win the the standalone Passage Race from Portishead to Cardiff, along with Joyride and Marco Polo who took second and third.
